Bologna Italy Recommendations

"This trip to Bologna was part recon mission, part actual vacation."

I’m in the process of applying for Italian citizenship (yes, it’s happening), and I wanted to see if this city could be part of my next chapter. Spoiler alert: it’s still very much in the running.

Ten days. Ten Pounds? Zero Regrets!

I wasn’t planning to write a guide—but I kept finding myself whispering “okay but this place??” over and over. So here we are. Not a comprehensive list, just a few favorite stops that made me feel something. Beautiful streets, pasta that changed me, and more than a few spots where I mentally moved in.

🎨 For Wandering and Wondering

Via del Pratello

Gritty, artistic, and full of personality. Grab a coffee, people-watch, admire the graffiti, and soak in that lived-in beauty that Bologna does so well.

 Finestrella di Via Piella

A tiny window overlooking a hidden canal—like a blink-and-you-miss-it postcard moment. It's touristy, yes, but still worth the peek.

MAMbo (Museo d’Arte Moderna di Bologna)

Cool space. Thoughtful curation. Perfect place to recharge your brain between meals.
